Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) solar power plant

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) signed a cooperation agreement with the Industrial Modernization Center and the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority at the Electricity Ministry, to establish a solar power plant, for the museum’s buildings.

This comes within the framework of the goals of the Sustainable Development Strategy and Egypt’s Vision 2030. This cooperation is going to be achieved to maintain environmental balance, encourage the transition towards a greener economy, spread environmentally friendly practices, and use renewable energy sources that achieve sustainable development, especially the production of electricity from solar energy.
